The Cusano 18 cigar earned a 91 rating in the January 2004 issue of Cigar Insider and was made a "Smokeshop Selection" by the Robb Report in September 2004. The Double Connecticut Shade wrapper and 20% 18 year old filler produces a rich, heavy smoke, in a medium bodied cigar. Cusano 18's were rated a 91 by Cigar Aficionado's Cigar Insider: "Stout cigar with a shiny golden wrapper...full bodied with a rich heavy smoke, well balanced leading to a long woody finish". - January 2004.

Cusano 18 Paired Maduro Cigars Introduced in the fall of 2005 the Cusano 18 Maduro cigar was the Top Rated and Featured Cigar in the November 15th issue of Cigar Insider. The Cusano 18 Maduro is a paired maduro with a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper with a San Vicente Olor binder and a Brazilian Matafina wrapper in the filler with the 1985 Dominican Oro wrapper. The Robb Report chose the Cusano 18 maduro was selected as a "Select Smoke" in September of 2006.

The DomRey Company began in Boston where Chiusano and Finley were investment advisors. Chiusano also enlisted the help of his brother Joseph. In October 1997, the partners moved the Cusano headquarters from Boston to Sarasota, Florida in order to bring the company closer to the fields and factories of the Dominican Republic. Administration, sales and distribution are conducted out of the 1600 sq. ft. office in Sarasota and the company maintains part ownership in manufacturing facilities in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
